On June 17 and 18, 2019, the Porto team of the MOBI-AGE project met for the first time with the elderly members of the Day Center of the Paróquia Nossa Senhora da Vitória Social Center, in the respective building, located in Rua de São Miguel, Porto.
During these two days, we had the opportunity to talk with nine elderly people who have an active life, walk and use public transport daily (some of them because they don’t need to, just walk in their day-to-day). Therefore, we have collected enough contributions from their responses to our project. They shared with us their personal stories, their daily routines and the difficulties they face when walking and using public transports.
We scheduled a next visit to the same institution to interview more people and, apart from these interviews contribute to the scientific world, we aim to use these answers for the organization of an open session to the community where we will present and discuss the results obtained.
