MIA-Portugal (Multidisciplinary Institute of Aging) gets funding from Horizon 2020 program (26th September 2019)

The MIA-Portugal (Multidisciplinary Institute of Ageing) research project, led by the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, the University of Groningen and the Pedro Nunes Institute, will receive € 15 million in the scope of the “Teaming” projects of Horizon 2020 for the creation of centers of scientific excellence.

MIA aims to create the first center of excellence for aging research in southern Europe, with the overall objective of improving the health and well-being of an aging population and to benefit from the potential for scientific excellence and innovation to create opportunities for business.
